Perry and I just wrote our first article together. A Shamanic Journey in Peru

I just returned from Peru where I worked individually with a Shaman, Sergio Baranov. I gained volumes of insight, wisdom, and permanent growth. Shamanism has been redefined for me as a path of continuously increasing the capacity to care and love all of our relations. There is too much to express in a little post, so I am writing my second book that reveals the end of my search. As we experience the intensity increase of the times to come, we realize that 2012 is not about a future date. It is about NOW. This very specific each and every moment is the time and place for us to see the strongest reflections of our souls wounds and gifts. The mirror under the veil is magnifying at an increasing rate, which is why our relationships are going through the rapids. This is the time to seize the opportunity for self-honesty and muster up the courage to allow and feel our fears rising to the surface. As we simply allow this process through fully feeling the source of our fears, they dissolve and we get to then more fully participate in the cocreation of dreaming a new reality for ourselves. Let’s examine our relationships together as a community to hold non-judmental safe space for insecurities and shame to heal. Such personal work includes each of our relationships at home, at work, extended family, each human you see in the streets… Take the challenge of observing your jugments and thoughts of others and let it reveal more opportunities to heal.

Romance… What keeps it alive?

Being a woman, and having worked closely with couples, I have found that we are akin to a bud that flowers when we receive enough love, patience, nurturing, and most of all: safety. When we feel completely safe with our partner, our hearts gradually blossom and grow like a lotus. It is gradual, because a flower can’t be forced to open and if we forced it to do so, the petals would tear. Safety is equally important for man and woman to openly express love. What are the conditions that create such safety?

I know from experience that the paradigm of right and wrong immediately squelch safety. Communication laced with accusations, blame, or guilt shut down the heart into protection mode. The swords and shields go up! So, developing our skill in heart-based communication is the foundation of the fertile soil needed for our hearts to blossom. We do this by openly sharing our fears without blame, describing our needs that promote safety, and exploring together which needs are fear based, and which needs are love based. Such communication is the ultimate definition of Soul Mates. Two individuals destined to support each others’ healing, fulfilling together our reason for being.
